Franziska Schmickler is currently writing her Master's thesis related to inclusions of Lepidoptera in amber. Her work focuses on the CT reconstruction of the morphology of lepidopteran. Her bachelor thesis already thematised the technical reconstruction of animals, in this case, it was the reconstruction of two skeletons of the species Micropotermogale lamottei in cooperation with the Museum Koenig Bonn (Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change). During her Bachelor's and Master's studies, she worked in the morphology department of the Museum Koenig Bonn among others.
